Because of the wide range of sensory andcognitive systems involved in vision and eyemovements, visual disturbances are typically found in the commonvascular disorders, such as atherosclerosis, migraine, andaneurysms, but can also result from practically any, commonor rare, local or systemic vascular disorder. Thedysfunction can be part of a largersyndrome or thepredominant clinical abnormality. Many of the newer conceptsconcerning the diagnosis and treatment ofneurovasculardisorders have evolved in consequence of advances intechniques for neuroimaging such as MRI; methods ofmeasuringsystemic coagulation and inflammation; andsuperselective catheterization ofabnormal blood vessels andvascular lesions. The neuroophthalmologicalevaluation ofclinical signs and symptoms often leads toaccuratelocalization and diagnosis of the lesion. Many oftheseclinical abnormalities, such as visual field defects andocular misalignments, can be quantified and followed toassess either the naturalhistory of the disorder or theeffects of therapies. No one medical specialty can manage these neu | 出版日期 | Book 1993 | 关键词 | Nervous System; Ophthalmologie; Tumor; aneurysm; brain; central nervous system; diagnosis; differential dia | 版次 | 1 | doi | https://doi.org/10.1007/978-3-642-77620-5 | isbn_softcover | 978-3-642-77622-9 | isbn_ebook | 978-3-642-77620-5 | copyright | Springer-Verlag Berlin Heidelberg 1993 |
