Modeling Intellectual Disability in Drosophila,een identified for the treatment of ID patients. An increasing number of genes are identified in patients with ID but a significant gap persists between gene discovery and treatment. Lack of treatment can be explained by our poor understanding of the molecular mechanisms linking cognition and genes.

https://doi.org/10.1007/3-540-28229-7lones were sequenced. The deduced amino acid sequences of two rabbit SAA proteins differ in five amino acid residues, four of which are located in the NH.-terminal part. Only one of these two isotypes, SAA2, seems to be involved in amyloid formation.
