Evidence for the Production of Methyl Radicals on the Na2WO4/SiO2 Catalyst Upon Interaction with Metssociation of methane on the catalyst surface and it is very likely that, the unsaturated lattice oxygen, adjucent to the Na. vacancy created at the hightemperature of OCM reaction is the active oxygen species responsible for methane activation.
