Expression of the Bacterial , Gene Opens a New Biosynthetic Pathway in Plants,ded to cause an increase or decrease in the content of a certain secondary metabolite. Instead of the plants’ own genes, bacterial genes catalyzing the same reaction may be used, and other chapters of this book describe such approaches.
