Application-Specific Code Compression,Although memory energy consumption is relevant, additional improvements can be achieved by combining the minimization of memory and bus energy, that is, of the whole memory-processor interface. Energy Optimization of the Memory Sub-System,mpletely changed this picture. Nowadays, the cost per memory bit is extremely low, and memory size is rarely the main issue. Memory performance and power consumption are now the key challenges in system design.
