Robust Midsagittal Plane Extraction from Coarse, Pathological 3D Imagesnput 3D images with (1) large asymmetrical lesions; (2) arbitrary initial yaw and roll angle errors; and (3) low signal-to-noise level. Also, no significant difference is found between the iMSP computed by the algorithm and the midsagittal plane estimated by two trained neuroradiologists.

Fusing Speed and Phase Information for Vascular Segmentation in Phase Contrast MR Angiogramse model parameters are estimated by the Expectation-Maximization (EM) algorithm [3]. In addition, it is shown that a Maxwell-Gaussian finite mixture distribution models the background noise more accurately than a Maxwell distribution and exhibits a better fit to clinical data.

BrainSuite: An Automated Cortical Surface Identification Tool, and editing functions. The collection of tools is designed to require minimal user interaction to produce cortical representations. In this paper we describe the theory of each stage of the cortical surface identification process. We then present validation results using real and phantom data.
