Sexual Selection and the Evolution of Territoriality in Birdsween species with different diets strongly support the theory. For example, cardueline finches nest in groups of small territories. They feed their young mainly on seeds, foraging in groups. The fringilline chaffinch defends a large territory, feeding its young on insects caught in the territory.
