Developments in Mg-based Alloys for Biomaterials,ly practical application where corrosion of Mg is a requirement is bioresorbable metals. In this chapter, we introduce the relevant metallurgy of Mg alloys and relate metallurgy to biocorrosion rates. We describe developments in Mg alloys that are relevant to bioresorbable metals and also describe Mg-based metallic glasses.
