Lightning Terminology,g discharge is more appropriately called a thunderstorm cloud or only a thunderstorm. The thunderstorm cloud develops from the water droplet and vapor produced in the atmosphere from the earth‘s surface. From the sun‘s heat, water on the earth‘s surface changes its phase.
