Ionization Induced Electron Injection in Laser Wakefield Accelerationnd the absolute energy spread of the electrons can be reduced to a few MeV, i.e. the relative energy spread can be less than 0.5 %. A further interesting result is the generation of multi-color electron bunches by use of two-color lasers. These electrons can be used for multi-color X-ray generation

All-Optical X-Ray and ,-Ray Sources from Ultraintense Laser-Matter Interactionstion schemes including betatron and Bremsstrahlung are being developed while free electron laser and Thomson scattering by collision with a synchronized laser pulse are being proposed for the generation of narrow band radiation. Here we present an overview of the current developments in this field.
