Rearrangements of the RET oncogene have been proposed as a marker for papillary thyroid cancer. Methacarn Fixation for Genomic DNA Analysis in Microdissected Cellsmmunostaining, fragments of about 180 bp can be amplified with 150-270 cells by single-step PCR. In addition, we present a quick, versatile protocol for performing ISH on archival material suitable for LMM.

Laser-Assisted Cell Microdissection Using the PALM Systemp53 mutations from single cells is given. The described procedures emphasize preparation of tissue, laser microdissection including catapulting of cells, and extraction of RNA and DNA. Downstream experiments for validation are also shown.
