Eric Fossum, is a solid-state image sensor device physicist and engineer. He is the primary inventor of the modern CMOS active pixel image sensor used in nearly all camera phones and web cameras, many DSLRs, high-speed motion capture cameras, automotive cameras, dental X-ray cameras, and swallowable pill cameras.

Robert Dennard,Born in Terrell, Texas, in 1932, . earned undergraduate and graduate degrees from Southern Methodist University (SMU). In 1958, he received a PhD from the Carnegie Institute of Technology in Pennsylvania. The young engineer and scientist soon joined IBM’s Research Division and eventually began working on integrated circuitry.

Gary Michelson, was born in Philadelphia in 1949. He attended Temple University and Hahnemann Medical College. Dr. Michelson completed his residency in orthopedic surgery at Hahnemann Medical Hospital. He completed a fellowship in spinal surgery at St. Luke’s Medical Center in association with the Texas Medical Center and Baylor University.

Karen Swider-Lyons, is head of the Alternative Energy Section in the Chemistry Division at the Naval Research Laboratory (NRL) in Washington DC. She earned her PhD in materials science and engineering from the University of Pennsylvania in 1992 for studies on high-temperature fuel cells.
