Correlation in Man of Intracranial Pressure and Neuroelectric Activity Determined by Multimodality E. In effect, elevated ICP may indicate only that a space-occupying lesion is present. It cannot indicate if the affected brain is physiologically compromised or normal. It is therefore difficult to assess the significance of ICP levels or when treatment aimed at lowering ICP should be started.

Intracranial Blood Volume and Its Variation with Changes in Intracranial Pressure of changes in the vascular volume demands a method for continuous, quantitative monitoring of the ICBV in different circumstances. The present paper is concerned with a description of such a method which has been worked out in dogs and applied to the problem of the effect on ICBV of increased cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) pressure.
