British University Students Studying Abroad in China: Issues of Interculturality,interesting patterns regarding the students’ discourses on culture. This chapter reports on and discusses these findings in light of recent interculturality theories. Finally, it suggests ways for taking the research agenda forward.

International Student Recruitment as an Exercise in Soft Power: A Case Study of Undergraduate Medics are that while many students did develop affection for China, this was always severely limited by many negative educational experiences and the limited contact they had with Chinese students. We propose, however, that an ‘alumnus effect’ may embody a manifestation of soft power, but this requires further empirical investigation.

,An Analysis of Factors Influencing International Students’ Choice of Education in China, communication”, and “possibilities of living in China upon graduation” were major factors attracting these students to China. The research helped to understand international students’ motivation for studying in China. It had implications for China to evaluate and further improve its international education.
