Diffusion Processes at Liquid Metal/Ceramic Interfacesism. Transport rates near the interface are two to four orders of magnitude faster than on the surface of the oxide. Experiments performed with gold on Al.O. have shown that the transport is much faster in air than in inert atmospheres underlining a dramatic influence of the environment on interfacial mass transport.

Kinetics of Spreading of Some Metal Melts over Covalent Ceramic Surfaces means of a high-speed profile filming (up to 5000 frames/s) in a vacuum at 1200–1500 .C..The whole process of the spreading takes ~10. s. The spreading rates equal to 50100 cm/s. The conclusion is made about possible spreading regimes in these systems.
