Introduction,ath that considers the person and the environment as a whole. The nature of one’s thoughts, body practices and psychological traits such as hope for betterment, change and transcendence from the tangible to the intangible, to a great extent, narrates the nature of consciousness that underlies personal experiences.

The Self as Organizerr that structures experience and makes it whole. If so, the self has a much larger role to play in the mind sciences than is currently acknowledged, and the study of the self is a bridge between traditional concerns of metaphysics and the modern cognitive sciences.

Reconceptualizing the Separative Selfrefore, efforts need to be made to develop an alternate way of understanding the self. It is contended in this chapter that the conception of the free-floating self is primarily a case of gut feeling of certainty and our present environment is conducive to overcome this inveterate way of understanding ourselves.
