Assessing the Learning Potential of Penitentiary Inmates: An Application of Feuerstein’s Learning Po. In their review of the literature in this area, Ross and Fabiano (1985) identified four different philosophical frameworks, each of which generated a different assessment procedure. These assessment procedures fall into two categories: direct assessment and indirect assessment.
