Investigate of Grasping Force for a Soft Robot Hand Under Pulling Force and Varying Stiffnessting currents for the SMA simultaneously. Results indicates that the increase of stiffness around 61.7% from the low stiffness to high stiffness. Finally, the pulling forces with the variable stiffness and different grasping forces were measured, which demonstrate that grasping forces can be adjusted by varying stiffness.

Multi-directional Characterization for Pollen Tubes Based on a Nanorobotic Manipulation Systemgeneous along circumferential direction and justify the necessity to characterize pollen tubes from multi-direction. Experiment results can be used to measure pollen tubes’ stiffness at different direction and analyze how pollen tubes penetrate through pistil.

Design of a Soft Pneumatic Actuator Finger with Self-strain Sensingre the same which helps to make the integration natural and closely bonded. The actuation response as well as sensing outputs are experimentally analyzed and results show that the sensing output change linearly with bending angles, which can be used for further position feedback control.
