Trade Marks — International ProvisionsTrade marks, like all other intellectual property rights, are national rights. This means that a trade mark, once registered, only offers protection against unauthorised use by third parties within the country of registration. Unlike copyright, there is no automatic extension of a national trade mark to other countries.
