Bridging Clock Domains by Synchronizing the Mice in the Mousetrap by increasing the buffer size. Consequently, at system level one can trade off between safety and low latency. The design is based on two well-known ideas: pipeline synchronization and mousetrap buffers. We first combine both ideas and then in several steps improve the design.

Low Voltage, Double-Edge-Triggered Flip Flopwise, our result outperforms existing static DETFFs convincingly in the low voltage range. Powerwise, our flip flop beats others for dynamic input in the lower half of the same range. The dynamic counterpart of our static circuit also shows similar power superiority at low voltages.
