Appendix I 15N Isotope Effects on the Raman Spectra of 5′IMP and 5′UMP-d3n chromatography. The final product, purified 5′ UMP- .N., gave only one spot in a thin-layer chromatography. A mass-spectrometric analysis of ammonia produced by micro-Kjeldahl method from this sample indicated that 90% of the whole nitrogen atoms in it are .N.

The Raman Spectroscopy of Nucleic Acids ribose instead of deoxyribose in the chain. Both DNA and RNA contain the bases guanine (G) , cytosine (C), and adenine (A). They differ in that RNA contains uracil (U), while DNA contains 5-methy-uracil (T).

Historical Survey of the Infrared and Raman Spectroscopic Study of Biological Moleculese have pointed out papers which appear to be milestones but in some cases there may be a certain amount of personal prejudice involved. Omission of some important papers simply reflects the limitations of the authors and not a judgement that they are less important than the referenced works.
