The present work calls for conservation of freshwater ecosystem in the island groups with a risk assessment of fragile biotopes. Group Size and Composition of Gaur (,) in Relation to Environmental Factors in Parambikulam Wildlifre was seasonal influence on the group size, which is explained mostly by the variations in availability of grass. The births were mostly between the two peak rainfall periods. The observations are discussed in relation to ecological parameters.
