An Improvement on GrabCut with CLAHE for the Segmentation of the Objects with Ambiguous Boundariesthe segmentation performance. CLAHE, which is a successful adaptive contrast enhancement method is used with RGB color channels in this work. Experimental results show that the proposed approach gives much better results (4% accuracy improvement) than the original GrabCut method on the images sampled from the Caltech 256 image dataset.

DTI Segmentation Using Anisotropy Preserving Quaternion Based Distance MeasureSQ) which performs much better than the LogE one and provides better interpolation of geodesics than the spectral-quaternion one. We have implemented the localized active contour segmentation method for these metrics, providing much better handling of the inhomogeneity of the data than global counterpart.

Pixel-Based Leaf Segmentation from Natural Vineyard Images Using Color Model and Threshold Technique Concerning boundary-based measures of quality, an average accuracy of 94.8% over a 140 image dataset was achieved. It proves that the proposed method gives suitable results for an ongoing research work for automatic identification and characterization of different endogenous grape varieties of the Portuguese Douro Demarcated Region.

A Flexible Statistical Model for Image Denoisinghas the flexibility to fit different shapes of observed data and bounded support data in the case of noisy images. Experimental results demonstrate that the proposed method has superior performance than some conventional approaches.

K-Means Color Image Quantization with Deterministic Initialization: New Image Quality Metricshod. No empty clusters are produced by this method of quantization. The experiments were realized using 24 benchmark color images for different numbers of quantization levels. The same quantization with additional Floyd-Steinberg dithering generates the images with even better values of tested perceptual metrics.
