Massively-Parallel Dislocation Dynamics Simulations,llel DD code is developed that is capable of modeling million-dislocation systems by employing thousands of processors. We discuss the general aspects of this code that make such large scale simulations possible, as well as a few initial simulation results.

A Discrete Dislocation Dynamics Investigation of Formation and Stability of Lomer Locks,study finds some important deviation from other dislocation dynamics simulations, including other DDD and simple line tension model calculations with respect to the range of stability of the Lomer lock. Furthermore, the actual loading path or effect of the dislocation mass might also play a role on the stability of a lock.
