Bifurcation and Chaos in Mechanical Applications: A Dynamical Systems Approach to Their ControlThis work reviews in an unified context some previous independently developed works by the authors related to a method for controlling nonlinear dynamics and chaos in mechanical oscillators based on optimal elimination of homo/heteroclinic bifurcations.

Chaotic Clocks: A Paradigm for the Evolution of Noise in Machiness of view. This model is shown to exhibit a strange attractor in the structural vibration of the clock. Finally we introduce a theory and mathematical model for the evolution of noise in machine dynamics over several generations of design.

Spatial Motion of CVT-Chainss the number of degrees of freedom considerably leading to growing simulation times. On the other hand design or design improvements of chains are only possible applying a 3D-theory. Paper presents mechanical and mathematical models together with some applications.
