A Cylindrical Hydrocycloney criterion, an optimum cyclone thickener with a cylindrical body has been abtained on the basis of experiment. Compared with a commercial conical hydrocyclone, the cylindrical cyclone thickener has high capacity in thickening with low pressure drop across the cyclone body.
