Learning Viewpoint Invariant Signatures and representations have been studied extensively for human re-identification, most of them only work under strong assumptions such as ignoring perspective distortion or difference in camera viewpoints. Although these representations show promising results on benchmark datasets, they are likely to fail in real-world scenarios.
