The Nature of Unusual Magnetic Properties of Nd,CuO, and Tetragonal Modification of YBa,Cu,O,,n equivalent sites of copper ions Cu(1) and Cu(2). Mainly it conserns to Nd.CuO. to which the main attention will be paid in this work. The consideration is carried out in the frames of symmetry approach.

The Specific Geometry of the CuO2-Plane and Electronic Properties of High-Temperature Superconductoof carrier scattering by the spin fluctuations of the copper subsystem lead to a sharp decrease of the energy gap in the excitation spectrum. The theoretical results are compared with experimental data.

Several months later new superconductors with . . > 30 K were synthesized almost simultaneously at different laboratories in the USA, Japan, the USSR and other countries.
