,Testing the series expansion method used for studying the ‘cusp’ spectra,nsmission function which strongly influences the result of the fitting. The asymmetry ratio depends linearly while the fitting (shape) parameters do not depend on the angular acceptance for the measured cusp peaks. It is shown that the contribution of simultaneous projectile and target ionizations to the coincident electron emission cross sections is very important. There is some evidence that a great part of these simultaneous ionizations can be explained by uncorrelated simultaneous projectile and target ionizations.
