Surendra Byna,Kirk W. Cameron,Xian-He Sun resistance estimation and field-weakening. Implementation phases B, C and C+ are discussed in this chapter. For phase B development a so called ‘processor in the loop’ (PIL) approach is introduced in which case the processor is part of the simulation process. This approach is required because the sensorless algorithm resides in hardware only.
