It became apparent inthe 1970‘s that there were additional hepatitis viruses distinct fromhepatitis A and hepatitis B, and thus, the term non-A, non-B hepatitiswas introduced. The non-A, non-B hepatitis was further divided intopost-transfusion non-A, non-B hepatitis and enterically-transmittednon-A, non-B hepatitis in the 1980‘s. By the end of the 1980‘s, bothpost-transfusion non-A, non-B virus and enterically-transmitted non-A,non-B virus had been identified and renamed hepatitis C virus andhepatitis E virus, respectively. Hepatitis delta antigen was firstrecognized as an antigen associated with hepatitis B virus infectionin the 1970‘s. In the early 1980‘s, a virus was isolated and namedhepatitis delta virus. These five different hepatitis viruses havedistinct replication pathways and are major health concerns. They havebecome an important topic for teaching to graduate-level and medicalstudents. ..Hepatitis Viruses. provides a comprehensive, | 出版日期 | Book 2002 | 关键词 | Hepatitis; antigen; antiviral drug; infection; virus; hepatology; infectious diseases | 版次 | 1 | doi | https://doi.org/10.1007/978-1-4615-0881-6 | isbn_softcover | 978-1-4613-5285-3 | isbn_ebook | 978-1-4615-0881-6 | copyright | Kluwer Academic Publishers 2002 |
