Maximum and Minimum Properties of the Temperature Within the Dynamic Theory,m the thermoelastic equation (1.1.2), the temperature does not satisfy the classical Maximum Principle. The same is true, with even greater force, of the dynamic theory, that is the theory which results when the inertial term is retained and the full thermoelastic equations (1.1.1) and (1.1.2) are used to determine the temperature.
