Plate Buckling Due to Non-uniform CompressionFor problems of non-uniform compression, stability analysis is complicated because it requires the solution for the in-plane force field as a preliminary step. It is the purpose of the present chapter to illustrate this two-step procedure with specific reference to uniaxially compressed rectangular plates.
