First, we review the history of rubber-toughened epoxy and different kinds of rubbers used for toughening epoxy. Miscibility and Phase Separation of Epoxy/Rubber Blendss the miscibility of epoxy oligomers with liquid rubbers and some factors affecting the phase separation of epoxy/rubber blends, such as the structural properties of rubber, curing agent, and curing procedure. We also discuss the techniques used to study phase separation. Finally, some critical comments and conclusions are given.
