Both pearlitic and cementite-free bainitic rails have been studied. The work is of generic value to the design of high-carbon microalloyed steels.

It was also found that RA has good heat and mechanical stability in 9%Ni steel but likely loses its stability and transform to Martensite undergoing both ultra low temperature and mechanical loading, accordingly inducing plasticity unceasingly.
