Of the 70 papers submitted, 23 were selected for thisbook. The first threepapers were invited and discussstrategic issues and give surveys. Threepapers deal withnew FPGA architectures and five papers introduce methods andtools. The last twelve papers report applications focusingon rapid prototyping or new FPGA-based computerarchitectures.The invited papersare: "Overview of complex array-basedPLDs" by G. Biehl; "Technologies andutilization of fieldprogrammable gate arrays" by J. Isoaho, A. Nummela, andH.Tenhunen; and "Some considerations on field-programmablegate arrays and their impact on system design" by A.Sangiovanni-Vincentelli. |
