In 50 patients with cerebral vascular insufficiency of various degrees, we partially glued the vessels at the anastomosis (., .). We preferred a small osteoplastic flap and an intracutaneous suture to minimize ischemia of the tissues.

CSR, Sustainability, Ethics & Governanceartery (STA) used as a graft, however, have only been carried out by DIAZ and co-workers (.) and by MEHDORN et al. (.). To our knowledge, findings concerning the ultrastructure of the graft vessel have not been published.

The STA-MCA Bypass Procedureal neurological impairment cannot be significantly better alleviated by surgery than by allowing spontaneous recovery. The patient best suited for bypass surgery is one who has had transient ischemic attacks. These demonstrate the difference between physiological paralysis and anatomical infarction.

Recovery After Stroke — Improvement by Extra-Intracranial Arterial Bypass (EIAB)? A 7-Year Follow-upe observed neurological improvement in the chronic postapoplectic state until the third or sixth month after stroke. If this improvement is caused by recovery of brain function, metabolism in a perifocal, still reversible altered brain area must be investigated by neurological and brain metabolism follow-up studies.
