A Cavity Method Approach to DNA Stretchingh as nucleic acids and proteins. Here, in particular, we are interested in DNA stretching experiments [13]. We present a model that reproduces the main features observed when pulling DNA, namely the elastic elongation at small forces, the resistance to bending and the enthalpic response to strong stretching forces [1, 5].
