Direct mass measurements of Ge, As, Se and Br isotopes close to the proton drip lineasses of very exotic nuclides as .As, .Se and .Br are reported for the first time and present final uncertainties of 0.8–1.5 × 10.. The mass values in most cases agree well with the Audi-Wapstra predictions.

Footprints of shell effects in light-neutron rich nucleiber . = 20 for Ne-Mg isotopes and also in appearance of the new magic number . = 16 [3, 4] in C-Ne region. Experimental information about the nuclei far from stability is often scarce and nuclear mass is frequently almost the only information available.

,Belgien: zentrifugaler Föderalismus,Two complementary mass measurement techniques have been developed utilizing the combination of Fragment Separator (FRS) [1] and Experimental Storage Ring (ESR) [2] at GSI. In both methods relativistic exotic nuclei are produced via projectile fragmentation (or fission), are separated by the FRS and are injected and stored in the ESR.
