Towards a Unified Description of Bulk Excitations and the Two Fluid Theory of Superfluids in Terms between He atoms. When such a theory is achieved it will for instance be able to describe the critical behavior near the lambda temperature as well as the propagation and attenuation of second sound. Towards the goal of achieving this theory we would like to outline our picture of how such a theory might be constructed.

This stimulated further measurements of k., τ and also of the thermal diffusion ratio k.* which we report in this paper.
