An Overall Characterization of the Project Portfolio Optimization Problem and an Approach Based on simple but comprehensive illustrative example that shows the usefulness of the problem statement and argue that there are no published approaches so far that deal with its whole complexity. We also provide some guidelines to build such an approach based on the use of evolutionary algorithms.
