Study of Incoordinate Left Ventricular Contraction by Echocardiography,superior frequency response and ability to localize endo- and epicardium throughout the cardiac cycle to gain some idea as to the nature of these disturbances. Results in patients with ischemic heart disease will be described, and their extension to patients with other types of left ventricular involvement briefly outlined.

Correlation of Heart Sounds and Valve Motions,d S2 often detected on auscultation can be explained by the slight delay in right-sided events [2], so that SI is compounded of sounds associated with mitral closure (Ml), closely followed by tricuspid closure (Tl), and S2 similarly contains aortic (A2) and pulmonary (P2) components.

Valve Motion and Contraction Pattern in Mitral Valve Prolapse,tion abnormalities of the inferior left ventricular wall were observed in patients with mitral valve prolapse. Currently, a variety of exaggerated or depressed segmental contraction patterns are described [5, 6]. In this paper, some aspects that are related to, both, the “leaflet-chordal” and the “myocardial” phase are presented [7, 8].

Echocardiographic Evaluation of Left Ventricular Performance by Standardized Afterload Stress, left ventricle during echocardiographic evaluation. It should be easily controlled, standardized, sufficiently effective to challenge cardiac reserve and suitable for combined use with echocardiography.
