描述.The book iswritten in the backdrop of the environmental impacts of and futurerequirements from the natural environment for rapid economic growth thathas characterized recent economic history of Chinaand India, especially over the past few decades. The environmentalimpacts of such rapid economic changes have been, more frequently thanotherwise, degrading in character. Environmental impacts of economicactivities create degraded natural ecosystems byover utilization of nature’s provisioning ecosystem services (fromHimalaya to the Ocean), as well, by the use of the natural environmentas sink for dumping of unmarketable products or unused inputs ofeconomic activities.
