Assessment of Removal of Mercury from Landfill Leachate by Electrocoagulation,sity and operating time. The results of the batch experiments showed a maximum removal of 82.72% of Hg at the optimum operating conditions of current density of 4.93 mA/cm., electrolysis time of 60 min, pH 7 and inter-electrode distance of 2.5 cm.

Fluoride Attenuation from Contaminated Water by Hydrophytes,ogical parameters such as total chlorophyll, carotenoid and total protein were also studied to observed relative damage of plant tissue due to fluoride stress. A marginal stress was noticed among all the plants for lower concentration values (5 mg/L), whereas at 25 mg/l fluoride concentration, maximum damage was observed.

,Lead Remediation from Landfill Leachate by Electrocoagulation – A Laboratory-Scale Study,ximum (90%) at pH 5.9, under 14.0A current at a hydraulic retention time of 70 min. The removal efficiency increased with the increase in current density, decrease in pH irrespective of inter-electrode distance. Use of iron electrode was found to be cost effective and economically feasible for treatment of leachate.

Optimization of Lead Ions Adsorption onto C16-6-16 Incorporated Mesoporous MCM-41 Using Box-Behnkenes and their interactions were assessed by analysis of variance (ANOVA). The surface and contour response plot shows the interaction of different variables and response. The experimental data fits best in the quadratic model with maximum predicted R. value of 0.9013 and Prob > F is <0.0001 showing the model is significant.
