描述.This book focuses on entomovectoring, also known as apivectoring, the method used for managing pollinators to increase crop yields and employ strategies of biocontrol in greenhouses and open fields. It is written by experts working in academia and industry from the different continents of the world. Over the past 25 years Research and Development has successfully investigated the potential of pollinators to perform two tasks: dispersal of biological control agents (BCOs) and their pollination service. This book provides a basic overview of the current literature on the different aspects and factors of this novel technology. It explains and presents practical cases of enhancing pollination coupled with the suppression of plant pathogens and pests under various agricultural production practices from greenhouse to open field conditions and crops ranging from orchard fruits, to small and tender berries, vegetables and oil seeds.

Ecological Intensification: Managing Biocomplexity and Biodiversity in Agriculture Through Pollinatlity for the benefit of human livelihoods. Pest management is critical for agricultural and forestry production systems and for human health. Chemical pesticides have become increasingly sophisticated and questioned as standard control measures. Biological control technology is a viable option. Biol

Solitary Bees As Pollinators, poidea), only a very restricted group has been domesticated for commercial crop pollination, including social and solitary species. The honey bee . L. has been the first domesticated pollinator species, anyway, many cultivated crops benefit largely from the activity of other pollinators, especially

Dispensers for Entomovectoring: For Every Bee a Different Type?,past years, multiple studies have been conducted to optimize dispensers for honey bees, bumble bees and mason bees and test their potential for application with the entomovector technology. Research on dispensers for honey bees started by testing simple one-way dispensers, previously used to load po

Case Studies on Entomovectoring in the Greenhouse and Open Field, arch has been conducted to investigate the potential of these pollinators to perform a second task, being the dispersal of biological control agents (BCO) alongside with their pollination service. Especially the suppression of grey mould, caused by ., has received considerable attention in multiple

,A Case Study: Use of Prestop® Mix Biofungicide in Entomovectoring on Apple Against Storage Rot Diseathogens. The product can be delivered by pollinators and this entomovectoring method is already in commercial use in berry farms in the control of grey mould. In this case study Prestop. Mix vectored by honeybees was tested on apple against core rot caused by . and ., which infect the plant through
