Interaction of Water Spray with Flameudies on flame water spray interaction. The effects of water spray on both premixed and non-premixed flames are discussed. The significance of droplet size in flame suppression is explained in details. This understanding will lead to efficient atomizer design for fire suppression systems.

https://doi.org/10.1007/978-3-642-59486-1all equivalence ratio on LDI flow field and flame behavior. Additional investigation was further conducted to understand fundamental differences between representative LDI and airblast injectors. Results of these fundamental studies are discussed to help identify design changes for improving LDI performance.
