Applications to Cellular Biology and Simulations,Some applications of the analytical approximations to the MFPT are listed below. The formulas quantify the structures and predict their functions. They are also used to verify the validity of large Brownian simulations, such as the ones used for predicting the synaptic current.

On Combining Star-Shaped Distributions and CopulasIn the paper, we introduce a new class of star-shaped distributions where a special copula model is used for the distribution of the spherical angles. Extended Fairlie–Gumbel–Morgenstern families of copulas have a lot of advantages in this context and are deployed here.
