Combining Human & Machine Brainsles having a different iodine content can be best described by σdc = σ.[exP(−T./T).], typical of variable-range hopping. The thermopower is negative for the sample with the highest iodine content and positive for the other ones. The ac conductivity shows a frequency dependence of the form σ.=Aω. with s close to 0.6.

The influence of the external field, of the intensity and wavelength of the incident light, and of the temperature on the measured anisotropy has been studied. The results suggest interchain charge creation is the predominant mechanism of photoexcitation of carriers.
