Improved Sensitivity for Explosive Vapours and ICAO Taggents Detection Using Electrochemical (EC) Sisture exchanger and removes any effect of fast sampling from an overly wet or dry environment. Near zero dead volumes in the sensor housing force almost complete transmission of gases through the membrane for detection. Detection limits for most vapours is less than a ppb.

It was shown that the indicated preparative approach allows achieving the required gas-sensitive features of the metaloxide semiconductor sensors by fine adjusting of an active layer structure. Electrochemical Sensing of Nitroaromatic Explosives,oltammetric flow detector, and amperometric detectors for microchip (‘Lab-on-Chip’) devices for on-site electrochemical measurements of organic and inorganic explosives. The unique features of such electrochemical monitoring systems make them particularly attractive for addressing related security and environmental problems.
