The present contribution is dealing with electron energy loss spectra, with angular analysis, recorded in C. vapour, in the low and intermediate incident energy range, i. e. 0 to 70 eV above the excitation thresholds of the low lying electronic states (1–10 eV).

The Scattering of Electrons by Chiral and Oriented Moleculeslarisation is rotated, the direction of rotation being different for the two isomers. We also find that the intensity of a transmitted beam of left circularly polarised light differs from right circularly polarised; again the sign of the asymmetry differs for the two isomers.
